I refused to go to the Ikea in Paramus so I decided to do my online shopping. After some searching, I decided to go to check out the showrooms at Palisade furniture in Englewood. It was one of the few furniture shops that was not part of any chain or bombarded with a lot of people so it was my number one place to go. When I showed up, I was specifically looking for oak or cherry wood like furniture accents that would make my rooms amazing and elegant. I spoke with Mike and actually the first item he showed me was a Pulaski Demuline chest. It was a gorgeous chest that fits perfectly in my bedroom. It was a half circle chest with six drawers and two cabinets. It was the perfect size and looked amazing with its perfect finish and flawless style. I even adored the square knobs which I found to be very classy. So I immediately said I would take it and asked the furniture salesman to show me more from this particular brand. I then was showed a console with a red cherry finish that would be a great addition to my home office. It was very beautiful and kind of functional as it also had a one shelf tray so whenever I wanted to take my food in my office I had a place to put it instead of next to my keyboard. I had put some of my books inside and with the glass doors had a very 18th century feel. I then asked if there any full collections from this brand. I was showed a catalog and then went directly into a bedroom set which I fell in love with. The Murano collection from Pulaski was absolutely gorgeous. I decided to add the chest to my living room and take the entire set for my bedroom. I first looked at the Murano Armoirre wardrobe which was perfect for my suits and jackets. The finish I felt was very elegant. I also purchased the chest with five drawers. It really fit a majority of my home clothes and had a fantastic height to it. I then naturally bought the bed and the bed dresser. Each of the items had a brass finish and real classy antique style, which is what really drew me to this brand in the first place. What did set me back a bit was the price. I ended up spending well over $5000 for these pieces. However, I do consider them as an investment for my children when they get older. I really feel that if you are looking for a furniture set that sets apart than I suggest Pulaski. It's a company founded in Virginia and they make absolutely beautiful furniture. The antique style is nonetheless a great way to make your home cozy and beautiful. Though it is a bit pricey, this is furniture that will definitely last a lifetime and is something I think you can leave to your children.
